Cheech and Chong (Up in Smoke)

Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke follows the misadventures of two stoners, Pedro de Pacas, a Mexican-American pot-smoking hitchhiker played by Cheech Marin, and Anthony "Man" Stoner, a wealthy, directionless hippie drummer portrayed by Tommy Chong. Their lives intersect when Man's car breaks down, leading to a series of chaotic events including a massive joint, a brief arrest, and an escape that culminates in them unknowingly smuggling a van constructed entirely of marijuana across the Mexican border. Chased by the inept Sgt. Stedenko, they embark on a road trip filled with drug-related humor and absurd situations, eventually forming a band to compete in a Battle of the Bands at the Roxy Theater, where they perform the song "Earache My Eye".
