Pedro de Pacas (Cheech)
In the 1978 film Up in Smoke, Cheech Marin portrayed Pedro de Pacas, a character who is often involved in crazy schemes, such as driving a van made of hardened hemp across the Mexican/U.S. border. The film and these characters are credited for establishing the stoner comedy genre.
