In the 1991 movie The Addams Family, Christopher Lloyd portrays Gomez Addam' s long-lost older brother, Uncle Fester. Believed to have been lost in the Bermuda Triangle for 25 years, his sudden return creates chaos within the Addams household. In the film, a loan shark named Abigail Craven conspires with her son Gordon, who bears an eerie resemblance to Uncle Fester, to steal the Addams fortune.

In the 1991 film The Addams Family, Cousin It is portrayed as a diminutive, fully hair-covered relative of the Addams family, known for his high-pitched, unintelligible speech and signature derby hat and sunglasses. Played and voiced by John Franklin, Itt becomes infatuated with Margaret Alford, the mistreated wife of the corrupt lawyer Tully Alford, and asks her to dance at a party, marking the beginning of their romantic relationship. By the end of the film, after Tully is buried alive, It and Margaret begin dating, later marrying and having a child named "What"—a miniature version of It—highlighting his integration into the eccentric family dynamic.
