Wayne Campbell
Wayne Campbell is a man from Aurora, Illinois, who lives with his parents and hosts a popular public-access cable television show called Wayne's World from their basement. Portrayed by Mike Myers, Wayne is a passionate heavy metal enthusiast and self-proclaimed "cool" guy whose life revolves around rock music, his best friend Garth Algar, and his love interest, Cassandra Wong, the lead singer of the band Crucial Taunt. His character originated in a 1987 Canadian television sketch titled "Wayne's Power Minute" on the CBC before evolving into a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live, where he was paired with Dana Carvey as Garth Algar.
