Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter)
Steve Irwin was an Australian zookeeper, naturalist, and television celebrity known for his show The Crocodile Hunter, which showcased his hands-on approach to wildlife and his infectious enthusiasm for conservation. He was recognized for his charismatic presenting style, signature khaki shorts, and catchphrase "Crikey!" which made him internationally famous. Irwin's dedication to wildlife conservation led him to found the Wildlife Warriors, an organization focused on protecting animals and their habitats. Tragically, he died on September 4, 2006, after being pierced in the chest by a short-tail stingray while filming a documentary. His legacy continues through his family and the ongoing work of the Wildlife Warriors.
