Scott Pilgrim is a 23-year-old unemployed bass guitarist for the struggling indie band Sex Bob-Omb in Toronto, known for his socially awkward demeanor and self-centeredness. He is currently dating Knives Chau, a 17-year-old high school student, a relationship that causes concern among his friends.
