Rick O'Connell
Richard "Rick" O'Connell is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the second incarnation of The Mummy franchise, portrayed by Brendan Fraser. A rugged treasure hunter, Rick finds adventure wherever he goes, often reluctantly. He served as a captain in the French Foreign Legion in 1923 before becoming an adventurer and treasure hunter after the massacre of the men he served with at Hamunaptra, with the exception of Beni, a former friend and soldier who left him to die. Rick's adventures took a supernatural turn when he encountered the evil resurrected mummy Imhotep. He is married to Evelyn Carnahan and is the father of Alex O'Connell.
