Happy Death Day Killer
The killer in Happy Death Day is revealed to be Tree Gelbman's roommate, Lori Spengler, who commits the murders out of jealousy and resentment. Lori's motive stems from her affair with Tree's professor and her frustration with Tree's privileged lifestyle, leading her to orchestrate a complex plan to frame an escaped convict, John Tombs, for the murders. She uses a baby-faced mask, which is nearly identical to the New Orleans Pelicans' mascot, "King Cake Baby," sparking a copyright lawsuit. Throughout the film, Lori manipulates events to ensure Tree relives the same day repeatedly until she uncovers the truth. In the end, Tree confronts Lori, leading to her demise and the breaking of the time loop.
