Douglas Quaid
Douglas Quaid is the protagonist of the Total Recall franchise, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1990 original and Colin Farrell in the 2012 remake. Initially presented as a construction worker or factory laborer plagued by vivid dreams of Mars, he discovers he is actually a sleeper agent or former spy known as Carl Hauser. His journey involves uncovering a conspiracy orchestrated by the tyrannical ruler Vilos Cohaagen (or Chancellor Cohaagen) and ultimately using his latent combat skills and alien technology to liberate the Martian colony and save its atmosphere.
