Gilligan
Gilligan, played by Bob Denver, is the accident-prone first mate of the S.S. Minnow and a central character in the sitcom Gilligan's Island. Originally hired by the retired Captain "The Skipper" after they served together in the U.S. Navy, Gilligan is characterized as a lovable, dimwitted klutz with a Peter Pan Complex who constantly thwarts the castaways' rescue efforts through negligence and clumsiness.
