Dim (A Clockwork Orange)

The term "droogs" in A Clockwork Orange refers to Alex DeLarge's gang members, specifically Georgie, Dim, and Pete. The word "droog" means "friend" in Nadsat, a slang language used in the film, and is akin to a comrade-in-arms in Alex's subculture of juvenile delinquency. Alex uses the term to refer to his gang members, and even after some of them join the police, they continue to use the term, albeit in a mocking sense.
