Chappell Roan, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz on February 19, 1998, in Willard, Missouri, is an American singer-songwriter known for her bold, drag queen-inspired style and music that embraces queer culture. After being dropped by Atlantic Records in 2020, she rose to fame as an independent artist, with her 2020 single "Pink Pony Club" gaining viral popularity on TikTok. Her 2023 debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, became a sleeper hit, leading to global success with the 2024 single "Good Luck, Babe!", which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2025.
